Friends of Augustine National Meeting Boarbank Hall 16th - 18th October 2009
The Friends of Augustine National Meeting was held last weekend 16th - 18th October 2009 at Boarbank Hall, Cumbria, UK. hosted by the Canonesses of St Augustine of the Mercy of Jesus.
Friends attending were2 from Austin Friars School, Carlisle, 1 from Hythe, Kent, 1 from Rayleigh, Essex, 4 and the Prior from Clare Priory, Suffolk 4 Dutch Friends from the Familia Augustiniana Nederland and our Guest Speaker Fr Martin Nolan OSA from Ireland.
The weekend was designed to bring us together Intent upon God in oneness of mind and heart, in re-union since our last National meeting in January and with our Dutch Friends from over a year ago. To quench our thirst for a greater insight into Augustine's teachings bringing us closer to God and each other. To discuss and plan the way forward.

- Afternoon - Walk to Cartmel, the Church and the old Augustinian Priory.

- Evening - Business Session - The way Forward.

We all acknowledged and thanked the Canonesses for their lovely warm welcome and hospitality. Likewise our thanks go out to Fr Martin Nolan for yet another wonderful insight into Augustinian Spirituality presented in his unique and uplifting manner.
